Wedding flowers

Bloomery would love to be part of your wedding day and can create stunning displays such as floral arches, pergolas and suspended designs to small dainty table vases and button holes for any wedding from the grand to the intimate elopement. We love to create wild, natural and fluid designs that are focussed on seasonality and sustainability, using as many blooms as possible from local flowers farms around the Cotswolds. If this isn’t your thing that’s no problem, we can tailor our creativity to suit your ideas and style for your big day. Below you can find out more about our planning process for your wedding flowers.

How we work

Step one: We’ll have a chat on the phone, on Zoom, or maybe at my studio in Broadway village for us to get to know each other. I want to hear all about your wedding day, your colour scheme, if you have a theme, the style of flowers you like, the atmosphere you want to create and all of the lovely details, this will help me plan and create your floral designs. If you’ve got a mood board or a Pinterest board, feel free to share this with me and we can chat about them on our call.

Step two: From our chat I’ll create a costing for your flowers based on your budget, this will be broken down by each design to help you see what each arrangement costs.

Step three: To reserve the date in my diary a booking fee is payable and the terms and conditions will be shared with you for you to read and ask any questions you may have before signing.

Step four: I’ll create mood boards for your flowers, showing your colour palette and detailing the beautiful British flowers that may be available around your big day. Your mood boards will give examples of each arrangement to help you envisage your blooms.

Step five: We’ll catch up about six weeks before your wedding day to confirm your colour scheme, arrangements and timings of your day, once we’ve had this call the full balance is payable.

Step six: We’ll see you on your wedding day! We’ll arrange your flowers at your venue, and will hand deliver your bridal flowers on the morning of your big day.

FAQS

  • What you see in your proposal is what you pay, there are no hidden costs. As well as your wedding flowers, the fee includes an initial consultation lasting up to one hour and a final 30 minute meeting approximately 6 weeks before the wedding.

Any additional meetings will incur a charge of £25 per hour.

Any missed/cancelled meetings with less than 24 hours notice will incur a charge of £75.

Hire of glassware, or props are included in the price quoted for that arrangement.

  • When you engage Bloomery to create your flowers we ask for a booking fee of around 25% of the total cost of your wedding/event to secure your date.

This booking fee is held until after your wedding / event just incase of any losses or breakages of hired items. If there are no hired items the booking fee is deducted from your final payment.

The full balance is due six weeks before your wedding after the final consultation.

We accept payments via bank transfer.

  • We work with other talented local florists and would engage the one with a style similar to create your flowers for you.

  • Allyson or a member of the team will set up the venue on your behalf. If the room needs to be transformed between your ceremony and the wedding breakfast, we’ll brief your venue and share your mood boards with them to explain how it should look. If the design is intricate or you would like us to stay, we’re happy to do so, but this may incur an additional charge.

Delivery to one location, no more than 10 miles from your venue is included.

Delivery and setup will be listed separately on your quote.

  • To ensure the style, colours and type of flowers flow through your arrangements Bloomery will be the only florist providing flowers for the event, no other persons (including yourself, family members, stylist or friends) or business will be allowed to provide flowers, unless you have flowers being provided by the venue as part of your package, or have discussed this at your initial consultation and it has been agreed by Bloomery.

Hen and stag parties. In addition to your wedding flowers we also offer workshops that can be part of your hen or stag party, whether you’d like to create your own flower crowns, corsages or hand-tied bouquets we can tailor a workshop just for you and we’ll supply the celebratory bubbles of course!
